Description: Piper’s Lookout is one of those special places where you can be blown away by the spectacular panoramic views over the bushland below Hervey Range and out to the ocean. Just a little further up the road is the historic Hervey’s Range Heritage Tea Rooms, formerly the old Eureka Hotel, where you can indulge in some of the North's best scones, or even try some of the famous "cat poo coffee"! The Hervey's Range Heritiage Tea Rooms is sure to be a pleasant surprise, giving you a nostalgic gaze back in time.
How to get there: Travel up Hervey Range Road from Thuringowa Central, past the suburbs of Rangewood and Rupertswood. Piper’s Lookout is near the top of the Range, on your right. Just past Piper's Lookout, turn right down Thornton's Gap Road, to find the Hervey's Range Heritage Tea Rooms.

Hervey's Range Heritage Tea Rooms

Description: The Hervey's Range Heritage Tea Rooms, formerly the old Eureka Hotel, is believed to be the oldest building in North Queensland, dating back to 1865. Today, the Heritage Tea Rooms are the perfect place to indulge in some of the North's best scones, or even try some of the famous "cat poo coffee"! An all day breakfast is also served daily, as well as freshly squeezed juices and smoothies, extensive lunch menu and a range of cakes and slices. The Hervey's Range Heritage Tea Rooms have a number of short walking tracks in the surrounding grounds, and the Tea Rooms also cater for school groups, functions, weddings and special events. The Hervey's Range Heritiage Tea Rooms is sure to be a pleasant surprise, giving you a nostalgic gaze back in time.
How to get there: Travel up Hervey Range Road from Thuringowa Central, past the suburbs of Rangewood and Rupertswood. Turn right after Piper's Lookout into Thornton's Gap Road, to find the Hervey's Range Heritage Tea Rooms.
