Bushland Beach Park, at the very end of Mount Low Parkway, offers a shady picnic area with magnificent views of pristine tropical coastline. Picnic tables and barbeque facilities are available, as well as a playground and public toilet block.

Saunders Beach

At the end of Reef Street you will find Saunders Beach Park, offering covered picnic and barbeque shelter sheds right on the beach. There is also a playground provided, which is sure to occupy the kids!

Bluewater Urban Fitness Trail

The Bluewater Urban Fitness Trail Bluewater Park

Turning left off the Bruce Highway at Bluewater into Forestry Road will take you to the Bluewater Urban Fitness Trail and Bluewater Park. Bluewater Park provides a freshwater attraction popular with picnic goers, just 28km north of Thuringowa. A perfect camping and picnic area with barbeques, toilets, showers, play equipment and a boat ramp available for use.

Toolakea Beach

Toolakea has a lovely rest area that is perfect for picnics. Picnic tables, barbeques and a playground are all available, and are just a few minutes' walk from the beach.

Toomulla Beach

Toomulla Beach also has basic picnic facilities at its more secluded rest area. Although there are no barbeque facilities, this is a great place for a peaceful picnic.

Vincent "Bushy" Parker Park is located in Rollingstone, directly behind the Rollingstone Historic Museum and adjacent to the lovely freshwater Rollingstone Creek. This designated free camping area has all amenities such as toilets, picnic tables, gas barbecues and a children's playground.

Balgal Beach

Balgal Beach offers the perfect picnic area with pristine views of the waterfront. Barbecues and undercover picnic tables are available, as well as a children's playground and public toilets. Only a short walk from the beach or shops, this is the ideal place for a picnic and a swim. A stinger enclosure is available during the stinger season, and lifeguards are also on duty during these times and school holidays.
